WHO WE ARE

Ericsen Foundation (Company No. 931127-P) was established on 27 January 2011 as a non-profit organization limited by guarantee under the Companies Act, 1965 ("CA"). The Foundation has been granted under sub-section 44(6) of Income Tax Act 1967, for all donations to Ericsen Foundation are tax deductible (applicable only to donations made within Malaysia).

Our Board of Governors work together to dedicate their time and effort to initiate, plan and participate in charity projects and fund raising activities for philanthropic purposes. At times, their expertise is utilised to lead everyday operations.

OUR STORY

With the support of our generous donors, we have made more than RM1,000,000 donations. We are currently working with Government hospitals to enhance palliative care through financial and project assistance.

We are also in talks with various like minded non-profit organizations and medical aid corporations for potential collaborations and partnerships starting from Perak and eventually to other states.

MISSION

The Foundation’s primary mission is to create accessible palliative care for the underprivileged through financial and volunteer support. We also aim to provide services, facilities, medical supplies and equipments that are conducive to the welfare of the beneficiaries and to provide support to their families or carers.

Medical Equipment & Supplies

Since 20 March 2020, we distributed medical equipment and supplies, assisted in setting up of SAR-COV-2 detection center with donations including funds raised from give.asia. With the funds, we donated several much needed ventilators, N95 respirators and other medical equipment. The beneficiaries are Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh, University Malaya Medical Center, Hospital Pengajar Universiti Putra Malaysia and the Perak State Health office.

Palliative Care

​Since 2018, we have focused on  palliative care needs in Perak.


Currently, we are supporting palliative care departments for 2 Government hospitals in Perak. We have donated oxygen concentrators, infusion pumps, and air conditioners. Annually, these hospitals serve an average of 1,200 palliative patients.

Food Aid Programmes

Since April 2020, we have conducted Food Aid Programs in support of the underprivileged communities across Klang Valley.  Apart from giving out dry and wet groceries, we have also provided freshly cooked meals to them by engaging with cooks and farmers who have lost their income during this pandemic. As of 15 August 2021, we have reached more than 2,000 affected people.

Flood December 2021 Aid Program

During the flash flood in December 2021, we have provided vital support and contributed 1,000 packs of dry groceries such as rice, flour, sugar, cooking oil, canned food and instant noodles for the affected communities in Padang Jawa, Section 19 and Section 24, Shah Alam.

Donations

In 2015 and 2016, Ericsen Foundation has donated via Yayasan Nanyang Press and has benefited 17 people. The recipients of the donation ranged from infants to the elderly of various races and medical conditions. To date, the Foundation continues to make donations to Yayasan Nanyang Press.

Ericsen Foundation also donated to the Lions Club KL Sentul for the construction of its new renal center located along Jalan Ipoh in 2015, and for its general operations. The funds went towards subsidizing its renal center that amount to about 8,000 dialysis treatments annually. The program has ended.
